Questions to consider: Are there a lot of trees in the area of your business? Leaves can hide holes or other damage in the sidewalks or road that can lead to injury and then a lawsuit. Be sure to rake those leaves! Questions to consider: Are you entertaining your customers by scaring them in an area such as a haunted house? Employees or props can cause an accident in scary atmospheres like haunted houses, hayrides, and corn mazes. Your business or employees may be held liable. Questions to consider: Are goats, chickens, dogs, or other animals present? Whether you have a petting zoo, pumpkin patch, or special event going on, if you own the animals and one of them bites or attacks a customer, you may be held responsible for the accident.
